Arriving to Auckland and looking for an advertising job with no previous experience was like looking for a needle in a hay stack.  An acquaintance forwarded me on to Julie Andrewes Recruitment.  I gave her a call and she offered to meet me for coffee.  She was very clear with me, explaining that if she didn’t like or see much potential in me, she wouldn’t hesitate to not take me on.  This is one of the best things about Julie, she takes on a small amount of people but throws everything she has in her to promote them.  A month after we met she had organised my first interview for the perfect advertising position, a position that I was lucky enough to get.   I have no doubt that without Julie’s help I wouldn’t be where I am today.
